About The One And Only Jon Ham

The One And Only Jon Ham’s musical style is the sum of all the various musical styles he’s enjoyed listening to and performing throughout his life.

Growing up listening to They Might Be Giants, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, and Anthrax; then getting more into The Grateful Dead, Herbie Hancock, Medeski Martin & Wood, The Talking Heads, Parliament, and Stevie Ray Vaughn; and even further down the line finding a love of Umphrey’s McGee, The Slip, Frank Zappa, Freekbass, That One Guy, LCD Soundsystem, Andy Frasco & The UN, and MonoNeon; along with a mellow side affair with Beck, Nick Drake, Brad Barr, Claude Debussy, and Brian Eno.

This wide range of influences is reflected in the diverse genres of Jon’s original songs and performing styles.  Some songs stick to one of the styles of one of his heroes, while some mix them together like a stew.  Or a margarita.  Click over to the videos section to get yourself a taste.

Show Times

I play fun shows.  They’re mostly at breweries.  Sometimes I use fun different instruments.  Sometimes I’m the house band for local comedy shows.  Here’s where you can keep track of what I’m doing when and where.  Invite your friends and come party with me,

It’s time for everyone’s favorite weekly summer residency at Hops & Pie, and this year we’re moving the party to Tuesday!  Join me on the award winning patio at Hops & Pie on Tennyson every Tuesday starting in May for a fun show with awesome food, drinks, cocktails, and happiness.

This year celebrating the 8 year anniversary of getting laid off from my brewery job, leading to following my dreams and becoming a full time musician!  It’s a FREE full day festival event with lots of live music, local crafters & vendors, a collab beer, a live unicorn, food truck, donuts, and tons of the type of positive supportive friends who will encourage you to follow your dreams and hop on your own personal unicorn to spread your wings and fly high into a better future!  And it’s a huge fundraiser for Urban Peak, so you can feel good knowing you’re helping Denver’s youth rise up out of the cycle of homelessness!

Join me for another Friday party at Cheluna Brewing!  It’s always a blast playing there, the beers are delicious (and award winning), plus you can get your beers to-go while you walk around Stanley Marketplace and shop or figure out what you want for dinner (and then bring it back to Cheluna to keep on a’partying).

We’re back on the patio at Ephemeral again, and The Bruery from CA is the brewery of the month.  They’re well known for their big stouts & barrel aged beers, but they also do all sorts of great styles: light, hoppy, fruity, sour. Come join me and taste for yourself.

It’s Empourium’s 7th Anniversary, and they’ve got The One And Only Jon Ham to close out the weekend with a bang! Come celebrate Tennyson’s favorite brewery with me!

Join me at the new Old 121 Brewhouse on Oak St. for Colorado Pint Day! It’s an annual fundraiser for Colorado Brewers Guild, which helps all your favorite local small breweries stay in business! And it’s unique local art on the glass!

It’s time for The One And Only Jon Ham’s 2026 Southwest Tour!  This is the first stop, and we’re kicking off patio season at Ska Brewing in Durango for a classic Ska-BQ! Let’s go!

YAY! One of my highlights of 2025 was when Dark Sky Brewing invited me to play their 10th Anniversary party.  Now for their 11th, they’ve invited me back AGAIN, so I’ll be once again road-tripping out to Flagstaff, AZ.  This year they’ve got me kicking off the show, and playing some side-stage “tweener” sets while the other bands set up & break down.  Why not take a little vacation to Flagstaff and join the party for the weekend?

This Summer, join me the 1st Wednesday of every month at the new Old 121 Brewhouse on Oak St. for some LIVE looping! That’s right, May 6th, June 3rd, July 1st, and August 5th! Bring your Uncle Bernie along, and keep coming back every 1st Wednesday!

We’re back at it on Ephemeral’s patio! The brewery of the month is Green Cheek Beer Co from Orange, CA.  I’ve never tried them, so I’m excited to see what they’ve got on tap for me.

It’s about time I play a late night dive bar set again, and what a way to do it with the iconic Dirty Duck bar at Evans & Dahlia!  They’ll be celebrating the anniversary all day long, but they’re bringing me in from 9pm til midnight to close out the evening with a bang!

Just off the downtown Evergreen strip is my fav Revival Brews.  What better way to spend a day in Evergreen than joining The One And Only Jon Ham rocking out, with delish cocktails, a great beer lineup, and awesome food (I can’t pass up the Patty Melt special)!  Invite your friends and make a day of it.

Always a blast playing at Empourium.  The beers are on par (there’s a golf place nextdoor, so I nailed that one), the staff is super cool, and the Tennyson neighborhood vibes are great.

Join me at Lady Justice Brewing to celebrate Pride month for a final push to close out my Trevor Project fundraiser.

Joyride is another one of my favorite breweries!  With their delicious beers, fun & silly staff, cool events, and great views from their rooftop patio, they’ve really got it going on.  I just wish they had live music more often.  BUT they do book me every year for their anniversary (and sometimes for an extra event along the street here & there), so I can’t complain.  Plus, they ALWAYS throw a great party. Mark your calendars and see for yourself.  Schedule coming soon, but I usually kick off the event, so plan on getting there early!

I had a blast playing the grand opening of the new Old 121 Brewhouse (and it was PACKED!), and I’m excited to be getting back in to rock it again.

I’m pumped that Ska Brewing has invited me back for another year of kicking off their anniversary by playing the evening before the big party for their Industry Pre-Party.  While I can’t really invite you, if you’re there with one of the breweries pouring, join me the night before in the brewhouse.  I have been known to play a solo while spinning on the pallet wrapper!

With Great American Beer Fest moving to Levitt Pavilion, the party places are moving farther South too.  Join me at Lady J for a special GABF Kickoff party with all the drinking tunes you need to pump you up for awkwardly drinking for hours on a slanted hillside…outside…in October.  GABF!

Special Events

There are some super-fun events that I look forward to doing every year.  Here is where you can learn all about them!

“Up With Downsizing” is a celebration of following your dreams and taking an unexpected setback and turning it into a joyful step forward.  When I got downsized from my brewery job, I took the surprise unemployment as an opportunity to try playing music for a living (as I had often wondered if I could).

Now we celebrate that fateful day with “Up With Downsizing,” a free full-day festival loaded with live music, local crafters & vendors, a special collab beer release, and a live unicorn (for photo ops & inspiration).  It has also become a fundraiser for Urban Peak, helping SW Denver’s youth rise up out of the cycle of homelessness!

Check back as August approaches for updates on the musicians, vendors, & food truck joining the fun for this year’s event!

Starting in May 2026, join me EVERY TUESDAY at Hops & Pie on their award winning patio for the best way to ease into your week.  Tuesdays you can get a small pizza & a draft beer for $17, and the first hour of my show is happy hour, with $5 Westbound & Down beers, 1/2 price wine & cocktails, and bogo wings & husky fries.  Invite your friends and keep coming back every Tuesday all summer long!
Join me this summer at the new Old 121 Brewhouse Oak St. location for the first Wednesday of every month.  Bring your uncle Bernie for some LIVE looping!

Every December I play some fun holiday themed shows.  It’s always a festive mix of classic and modern Christmas songs, but all with a funky twist.  Sometimes there are other events connected, like ugly sweater parties, cookie exchanges, craft markets, toy/food drives, fundraisers, etc. Sometimes some friends stop by to perform a few tunes as a special “gift” for the audience.  If you own a brewery/restaurant/bar/distillery, or even just want to reserve this entertainment for your company/family/neighborhood holiday party, it’s never too early to start booking me and reserve a date in December!

“Dying To Be Heard” is my annual musical tribute to some of the artists we lost in the previous year. Every year makes for an eclectic mix of musicians from different eras, genres, and performing styles, which makes every “Dying To Be Heard” a special event.

I offer these shows in January & February, which are typically slower months for craft breweries (where I mainly perform), so this show has become a bit of a unique draw, to help get patrons to come out in these slow months and show their support to us small businesses and catch this one-of-a-kind show.

I first started doing this series of shows in 2016, when we lost such visionary artists as Prince, David Bowie, and George Michael, acoustic legends like Merle Haggard and Ralph Stanley, and the funky vibes of Maurice White (Earth Wind & Fire), Sharon Jones, and Phife Dawg (Tribe Called Quest), in addition to Leonard Cohen, Elvis’ guitarist Scotty Moore, and more.

Now, each year offers a wide variety: from one-hit-wonders to arena headliners, your favorite modern artists to almost forgotten musicians from years gone by.  Whether you’re the type who keeps track of who passes away throughout the year, or you prefer to be reminded as their songs pop up at the show, “Dying To Be Heard” is a special look back on the past year an all the great music created by those who left us.
